LOTR News/Information Sites
Ringbearer.org - The best LOTR community out there, run by wonderful people. It's in its fifth stage and still going strong. Very well managed and constantly updated with new and interesting news. A great community to join. Check the forums out and the chat room as well. One can find me on there as "Azriel" (formerly Rainshadow).
The Council of Elrond - Large site with everything from a fanart and fanfic section to Middle Earth recipies to humor. Here you can find just about anything Tolkien related you might be looking for.
Lord of the Rings 2004 - A nice LOTR site with news, lots of info on the books and movies, a Q/A section, humor section and lots more, check it out.
Ian Mckellen's E-posts - Have any questions about the movie? Ask Ian Mckellen (Gandalf)! This is an awesome site, you can ask a question and actually get an answer from Sir Ian himself...now that's just cool.
LordoftheRings.net - The official movie site, upon loading you are greeting by a random member of the cast saying "Hi this is - welcome to Lord of the Rings dot net". It's fun to just sit there and press the refresh button a million times until you get all of them....well if you have no life anyway.

Corner of Bean - A very sharpe looking site dedicated to everyone's favorite Gondorian. Galleries, wallpapers, animations, and more.

Ringbearer.org - Ringbearer also has a very well moderated message board with tons of members that's lots of fun to be on if you have some free time to kill, but beware, you might get sucked in! It's an addiction.
Lord of the Rings Fanatics Plaza - a Gathering Place for all Fans of The Lord of the Rings and Tolkien. Join the Forums, enter the Halls of Knowledge, earn Fanatic Points and start your Fanatic Career.

LOTR Humor/Miscellany
Arwen Undomiel.com - Not strictly a humor site, but it's got some funny stuff. Overall a lovely site complete with wallpaper, buddy icons, and of course... a gallery!
Bagenders - And it came to pass that the fellowship were granted immortality for they had saved middle earth; and so they went their separate ways... But some fellowships were not meant to be broken... History has become legend; legend has become myth and myth has become merchandising: A three-bedroom semi in a town in the north of England, 2001.
WARNING - This site contains links to "slash" if you don't know what slash is, good for you, but don't click the links. The Bagenders episodes are hilarious, but they DO contain occasional swearing and lots of unwholsome behavior, all the episodes contain "ratings" at the top so just pay attention to them and you'll be alright. I hope that was clear enough...don't anyone get mad at me for not warning you. That said... I personally found the series to be hilarious.
Just a note... I am very much anti-slash, the only time I will tolerate it is if it's written solely as a joke and is relatively mild.

Mad About LOTR - Very funny site with some great captions and other funny stuff.
Beware the Chipmunk - A LOTR humor site with plenty to keep you giggling...the specialty seems to be making fun of Aragorn and Legolas...yup, this's my kinda site. (and here all this time I was watching out for attack squirrels, who woulda thought it's be chipmunks next?)
The Tolkien Sarcasm Page - This site has some great stuff for a laugh.
Very Secret Diaries of the Fellowship by Cassie Claire - absolutely squirt-milk-out-your-nose funny. (may be inappropriate for young children due to homosexual innuendos. The family friendly versions are available in our Parodies Etc. section)
Toasted Hobbits - A funny site with some humorously altered LOTR pics.
