- 4/9/12 - Hmmmm
Well they started filming The Hobbit last year, I suppose I ought to try to blow the dust out of the corners of the website... I might just do a small re-design if I can find the time. I did switch hosting to HostGator if anyone is interested in that sort of thing. Used to be hosted by IPower.com for years and years, but their customer service sucks beyond belief and I wasted one too many hours trying to communicate with their robotic chat service people. So far HostGator is miles above Ipower.

It's been a year since the last update. Nothing has changed since the note above was written but I wanted to pop by and assure everyone the site still lives, as do I. Happy Christmas, New Year, and any other holidays that occurred between last update and now.
I also briefly ran through the personality test section and got rid of all the ones that no longer work. Cheers! - Nevermore

A Note About Updates and Tolkien Fandom
(an explanation and apology of sorts)
I must inform you all, faithful LOTR fans that there will be only sporadic updates of this site for quite some time. This is for two reasons:
#1 It seems LOTR humor is at a standstill on the web. With the films having been out for several years now the fandom is no longer growing and people are not actively making parodies. Whenever I look for new pictures to put up or new parodies to add I have to search for longer and longer before I find something I haven't already seen. (sometimes I feel I've seen EVERY SINGLE captioned pic on the net) I have great hopes that once the filming of The Hobbit begins there will be a revival of interest in all things Tolkien and the fandom will once again stir itself into action.
#2 I have less time these days than I did when I began the site in 2002 on Geocities. A lot has happened since then and I've had to do that horrible thing that happens to everyone and "grow up." Which basically means I'm the same exact person but with all these lovely extra responsibilities tacked on. Take my advice, don't grow up if you can help it.
Until the filming of The Hobbit begins and finding parodies becomes easier, I will only be putting up what pictures/parodies/etc. you LOTRSpoofs fans send me. Also, the caption contest is going to be put on hold until further notice, mostly because I feel incredibly guilty that I never update it or post people's submissions.
Please note, I am NOT even considering closing the site, so no worries there.
